After our stomach-bursting lunch, we loitered a little in MS before proceeding to Hougang for a round of badminton at Hougang Sports Hall.

The only contenders were Amy, Kelvin, Mr Sim and myself. Mr Sim and myself arrived earlier and surveyed the area.

The minute we entered the court, we were awed! There were like 12 courts in the sports hall, all were occupied by sweaty players. The look on their faces, their movements and sharp screeching sound made by their rubber soles were petrifying us. They were so pro!

Well, Mr Sim and I had not touched badminton since our college days perhaps (a good 10 years, gasp!), and we were decidedly in bad shape. So we started pratising a little before our mates, Amy and Kelvin arrive. Mr Sim offered to apply some cream to counter the muscle ache I might have. It was good foresight.

Now, badminton is a sports that will make you sweat like a candle burning. After 20mins of trial play, we were almost drenched in our own salty perspiration.
