Qian Hu Fish Farm

Have you been to Qian Hu Fish Farm? It's located off Old Chua Chu Kang Road. A very 'ulu' place that is not accessible by any public transport.

If I were to ask around on who has been to this place, I'm sure the result would be disappointing.

If you think it's some smelly, wet kampong with shabby pond dug into the ground and mosquitoes buzzing around you, then you will be in for a big surprise.

Qian Hu is an integrated "one-stop" ornamental fish service provider ranging from breeding of Dragon Fish, farming, importing, exporting and distributing of ornamental fish as well as manufacturing of aquarium and pet accessories and distributing them to local and overseas customers. Currently, Qian Hu has presence in 4 countries, namely, Singapore, Malaysia, Thailand and China, which consists of 10 subsidiaries associates

Mr Kenny Yap, the CEO

Qian Hu breeds 200 species of fish including endangered and high value ornamental fish such as the South American catfish and the Dragon Fish (Arowana).

Qianhu is a national pride!

It is my 3rd time to Qianhu fish farm with my kids. They enjoy coming here very much. Here, they learn about the names of different types of tropical fishes, buy fishes back home at a cheap price (they always ask their parents for money, and spend easily $20-$30 at a go), and even try their hands for “longkang” fishing at the Agro-Education Centre (costs $5 per half hour... I enjoy catching them too, it is very fun!) ! :)

And the most expensive fish for sale could possibly be this >>

The price? $4288.

One of my boys... maybe he think I'm too free, purposely come up with something for me to do -- He dropped into the pool and got himself TOTALLY wet with fishy water!!!

The children were never so enthusiastic towards their schoolwork!!

Murky green water

And finally, just to introduce to all you mountain-tortoise out there... The latest invention in the ice-cream world -- The Mighty Bendable Ice-cream!!

So special! I shall not tell you the secret to this amazing and delicious invention! Muahahahaha!
